About Simon

Simon Pearson is a British composer living in London, UK. He creates music for a wide variety of ensembles and for different applications including film, theatre, live music and dance.

Recent work: original music for National AIDS Trust campaign animations; East Street Arts A Night At The Plaza (Opera North); a commissioned choral piece Homemade Musical Hope Machine, written for the Pink Singers’ 40th anniversary and premiered at Cadogan Hall, London; choral & orchestral arrangements for English National Opera does Eurovision; choral arrangements for The Sunday Boys, Melodiva, Philhomoniker and more; short choral pieces for Twitter advertising campaign on Tiktok.

Simon began learning piano aged six and picked up the clarinet and alto saxophone shortly after. He sings baritone in two choirs and is the musical director of the barbershop group, Barberfellas.

He is currently studying MMus Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music. He holds a BMus (1st Class honours) from the Tonmeister course at the University of Surrey, and an MBA from the Open University.
