A four-minute piano trio written about a day at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London, dedicated to James Cronin.
Winner of the inaugural W3 Composer fellowship in 2025.
On selecting the winner, the panel remarked: “We were deeply moved by the raw emotional sincerity of The Day We Were Butterflies In The Physic Garden. The piece was an absolute joy to listen to, with superb craft and an engaging storyline filled with unexpected nuance.”
